She regularly gives clinics throughout New England and Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas. She is also an informative speaker, lecturing on a variety of topics to suit each specific group of riders. Sandra offers three different clinic options, each one designed to cover a specific topic to maximize the learning experience for each participant. Clinic descriptions are below. Excellent for competition riders of all ages and levels. Each participant rides their dressage test for Sandra, she judges the ride and gives verbal feedback about the scores. After the test review she instructs the rider for 20 minutes, focusing on ways to improve the test. This clinic is very popular before show season starts, giving riders the opportunity to try their test before a recognized show. Sandra helps the riders to perfect their accuracy, improve their collective scores, and gives training advice for the rider to take home and apply before their next show. Also includes a Q & A session at lunch for riders and auditors to address specific showing questions. Ever wonder what it takes to start a musical freestyle? Ride in a quadrille? Or would you like to learn how to begin the dance with your horse? Sandra has extensive experience with choreography and instructing riders in quadrille and freestyles. She also incorporates basic dance imagery and techniques to help with the rider's position and communication with the horse. Sandra uses music to help with the horse's tempo and to teach the rider how to encourage their horse to dance underneath them. Includes a morning lecture for riders and auditors and individual sessions working on position and timing. After lunch there is an unmounted, in-hand session as a group and then work with musical freestyle and quadrille. This clinic is not only fun but will greatly enhance each horse and rider's partnership. General clinic format, each horse and rider receive a full hour of one-on-one instruction, focusing on how to take each combination to the next level in their riding. Sandra incorporates the training scale, making sure that all the basics are correct, helps the rider learn new movements and improve balance and timing. Sandra fills out a lesson review and recommends exercises that the rider can use at home in daily training. Optional lecture in the morning or after lunch depending on schedule and amount of auditors. Lecture topic can be chosen by the clinic manager.
